Discover how diverse place names and family names really are by
examining the influence of the main settler groups who came to live in
Ireland. This programme has been piloted in the Ards Peninsula area
and subject to funding will tour in several schools across Northern
Ireland. The pilot has been very successful and many other schools and
community groups will learn about cultural diversity through People
and Place Names.

Song Written by St. Anne's
Primary
Chorus
Come, come to Donaghadee
An Historical town that's right by the sea
Come, come to Donaghadee
Down for a visit, just you and me
The Commons are fun and good for a run
We'll go say a prayer
in the church over there
The old Parish Church with it's very tall tower
Chorus
We'll play a few rounds at the famous golf club
And then a few pints at Grace Neill's small pub
And if we have time we'll all have a snack
Fish and Chips at the Captain's Table
Chorus

Norman Nelson, West
Winds Tenants Association
"I have travelled the
world and seen wonderful sights
From the Canadian Forests to the
South African Velt
I've seen thousands of people,
different colours and creeds
Seen most of their customs
and
their everyday needs
In my lifetime of the
troubles and in the depths of despair I
often wish that i'd lived over
there
And though I've travelled from
East to West
Oul Ulster and Ards would be simply the best
PS And when my day comes and it certainly will
I will lie content on Movilla Hill"
