In 2001, Panarts piloted the first Belfast Nashville
Songwriters’ Festival, to celebrate the art of song writing and
discover more about the links between our musical heritage and
the traditional roots of American song writing. In 2005 six
professional Nashville artists travelled to Belfast to perform
with 6 local artists in concert and at workshops schools and
community centres.

Grammy Award winning artists such as Gary Nicholson, Tia Sillers
and Mark Selby shared their skills with budding local
songwriters and visitors from abroad.
“A truly brilliant festival. We are in love with Northern
Ireland - the people, the country… the
pubs. We met some of the friendliest, warmest folks on the
planet”
Grammy Award songwriter Mark Selby, Nashville.
